SAP Credit Management Set up for LSP

Dear Expert,

Basically I am SD consultant, working on integration part with SAP TM with SAP ERP for SD module.

For credit management functionality, As per the standard, we can able to trigger the credit limit check at time of FWO creation. But i am not aware of how the process will flow (start to end) and other related configuration in relate credit limit check at SAP TM.

I did the necessary setting in ECC BP - Role SAP Credit management. and maintain credit segment / credit profile. - But still it doesn't trigger the Credit Limit Check in FWO.

Please provide the exact way of using the SAP credit management functionality in SAP TM and SAP ERP to trigger the credit limit check in FWO.

Thanks

Satish Buddhar

Hi Satish,

Have you checked the flag Credit limit check in the FWO type in the SPRO?

Hi Dimpu,

Thanks for your reply

Yes Credit limit check is activated at FWO doc type.

My first doubt is whether we have to maintain credit limit data at TM business partner level or at ERP business partner level?

Since I have set up credit limit data at ECC business partner.

Please provide me the correct process.

Thanks

Hello Satish,

  • Credit Limit data is always maintained at the ERP BP level as we don't have the Credit management Role in the TM. After maintaining the necessary settings, it has to be synced back to TM.

  • Synchronization process:

In ERP TA MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT select the synchronization process Customer – business partner.

In Select criteria for source object add the customers for whom Business partner needs to be created and click on execute.

  • Could you check whether the checking rules are defined under the Financial Supply Chain management->Credit Management->Credit Limit Check->Define checking rules.

  • Have you mapped the credit control area to a company code?

  • Have you defined the credit segment and assigned it to the credit control area?

In TM:

  • You have to check the flag Credit limit check under FWO type also mention the action when the CLC fails.

  • Map the credit segments to the respective sales organization and company organization.
  • In the path: SAP Transportation Management-> Transportation Management-> Basic Functions-> Credit Management Integration-> Assign Credit Segments to Sales Orgs and Company Orgs the credit segments can be defined and they can be mapped to the sales and company organization.

Hi Dimpu,

Thanks for your useful information.

As you mentioned , Once we maintained the credit management role in ERP, after the sync the role will be available in TM system, then we can maintain credit data like credit segment and credit profile.

Whether we have to create the checking rules TM or ERP?

If possible could you please share the  credit management process(flow) so that, it will be very helpful to understand the whole process.

Thanks

Hi Satish,

In ERP you have to create checking rules.

I didnt get what exactly mean by Credit Management process flow, it will be helpful if you are more specific about it.

Hi Dimpu,

Actually I am looking for the process flow of SAP credit management with SAP TM.

1. How the SAP TM system will notify to SAP ERP, when the FWO is created / changed.

2. How the SAP credit management validate the received details from SAP TM and send the information about CLC that whether the FWO should be blocked or process.

3. Where the open order values and billing values are updated in SAP ERP ( table).

4.  How to release the CLC fails in SAP TM.

It will be greatful , if I get the clarification on above queries.

Thanks for your support

Hello Satish,

The answer below for your questions after discussing with out colleagues here:

1. When FWO is created/changed then CLC check will be triggered especially when there are changes to the charges and this data from TM system to ERP via XI system/WSRM (point to point service).

2. There is no validation of the details from SAP TM in SAP ERP.  It only accepts the data and tries to do the CLC check as configured.  Based on the check results that is returned from ERP to TM, and if there is a failure of check and the CLC check failure handling flag on the FWO type is set to block the FWO, the FWO is blocked.  Once FWO is blocked then it will not trigger CLC check as the CLC check button is greyed out. Below is the example of blocked FWO.

3. Tables are:
UKM_TOTALS - SAP Credit Management: Liability Totals
UKM_ITEM - Credit Management: Line Items
UKM_PM_BALANCE - SAP Credit Management: Liability Totals
UKMBP_CMS_SGM - SAP Credit Management: Master Data for Credit Account

4. When CLC fails, order can be released by clicking on release order with reason text. Provided user should have authorization to do the same.  And this authorization in standard is via the Role Transportation Manager.
