Dear friends,

  can you please help me to out of this error,

Enter a numerical characteristic before entering a number

Message no. IR043

I created code group and given codes as 001 and 002 and given description for codes. assigned this code group in Measuring point and save.

while entering code 001 in measuring point while confirmation of operation i'm getting this error. even i tried by entering char also i'm getting error.

Dear all,

actually the main requirement is client need while confirmation of operation task (check) list of one equipment he want recommended action should be automatically pop up like damage/ no damage ok/not ok like this..

the readings like temp i'm getting by using measuring point. but this requirement damage/ no damage, ok/not ok i'm not able to get please give your valuable suggestions

Presently I am unable spend time for scn. Just had a glance at your post. 

You may try by ticking the  ValCode sufficient  check box in IK02. You need not give any characteristic in IK01/IK02 when Code group is given. Try this.

Hi Chaitanya,

As suggested by Jogeswara, i tested the solution, it was working if you have checked ValCode sufficient in the measurement point.

While confirming you need to enter the valution based on the code group you have assigned in the measuring point.

Hi Chaitanya,

Let me understand first whether you have entered code group or code. Plz. revert back.

In T code CT04 ,change your data type as Num type for your characteristic and use it further

You need to check the characterictic you have assigned in the measuring point, what is the unit of this characteristic ?

This should be in numerical format

actually i didn't assigned any Characteristic to this measuring point i only assigned  Code group.

Hi,

If you enter codes, its not mandatory to enter characteristics.

Since you have not maintained the characteristics in the Measuring point and you are trying to maintain a value during order confirmation by creating a measurement document.

In such case, it is required to create a characterics and assign in the measurement point
