weeks sort ascending - fix order when using filter

Hi everyone,

I have a Chart (Column Combination - Dial Axis). On my x-axis I have "weeks" (1-40). In the initial view of the data source as well as in "edit query specification" I set the Dimension "week" "sort ascending". In the static view when I execute the application, the weeks are sorted 1 to 40 but when I filter my view (filter by city) then the weeks get mixed up. How can I have the weeks sorting ascending as fixed?

Hi - I'm trying to recreate your situation but cannot

My data source is a BEx query (what is your data source)?

I am using an InfoChart; are you using an InfoChart or regular chart component?  Are you using Design Studio 1.6 SP2?

I would try it with Design Studio 1.6 SP2 with the InfoChart

There doesn't seem to be an issue with the sort on the chart after filtering - see below:

Hi Tammy I just tried to use the Infochart. But here I still have the same problem. when I filter by "city" then weeks are not sorted anymore

Which SP of Design Studio are you using?  SP0, 1, or 2?

In result object select City field also and in edit initial view select your required fields.

Sorry for delay,

In database contains only 6th week Promotion cost and as compared to Revenue it is small value so not showing in chart.

When you try to change axis value of second Y-axis manually then shows 6th week values.

Hi Chandra,

sorry for late answer. I could not solve it. I change the scaling in 2nd Y-axis but it doesn't show anything. and in Initial view of data base there is no value showing anyway. it is just zero. In the 6th week there should be 9500 in total as before.

Do you maybe have another idea.

change once scaling factor 0 and Check once your backend database .

I did change scaling to 1. but it doesn't show any value in promotion cost anyway. I cant check backend database. I just chose efashion.unx as database and only use design studio. I don't have access to backend data base.

Once Reset Initial view and select Week and Key figures fields and then check once chart.

Hi..,Sometimes objects defined format in the universe business layer not support in Dashboard, so can you change data type to string in business layer and check once again .

Trang - it would be best to ask the person who created the universe to fix; they should have access to the Information Design Tool - it is a separate client install.

Thank you Tammy. The universe data efashion.unv is created by SAP. So I guess I cannot change that.
