Exposing FIORI Applicaitions over internet

Here is the requirement,

We connect to client network using VPN Client and access the SAP Systems. For Fiori to be available as a mobile application this is what I proposed

1. Get the mobile devices to connect to VPN and Fiori would just run fine in a HTML5 supported brower like Safari

2. Get Webdispatcher to do the talking between Internet and the Gateway.

Now I know option 1 is a straightforward option but I would like to know how can option 2 be achieved ? I would like to sit with the basis guy to make him understand how it can be done. Does it involve the corporate networking team too in getting this done ?

Any help is deeply appreciated.

Thanks

Sunny

Hi Sunny,

The SAP Web dispatcher lies between the Internet and your SAP system, put it in your DMZ. There are some firewall settings need to be done by your network team to make that end user can connect to web dispatcher in Internet and web dispatcher can successfully connect to frontend/backend systems.

Make hostname of web dispatcher resolvable in the Internet.

The configuration of web dispatcher and Fiori foundations can be done by your SAP Basis team.
