Hi,

I have to send data from BW Query to a file.

Can OH's are used to extract from BEx Query source?

I guess OH's cannot pull from BEx Queries since while creating OH's I dont see BW Query as source.

In that case  I am only left over APD , but does APD gives the output in the CSV file formats?

I have daily load the deltas and generate  a CSV file at the app server.

Regards

Hi All,

My Queries has input ready variables so now the OH's are out of equation. So will APD's support Queries with input ready and also the output has to move to table. There are lot of formulas created based upon input ready variables. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Thanks.

Hi,

How about making the variable FIX instead of inputting it while extraction? I will recommend to use APD, it's faster compared to OH..

Hi Mukesh,

I would recommend you to use APD's as OH are not being supported from BW 7.4 Onwards and yes using APDs you can also read data from a query and also write it to a file in CSV format.

Hi Manpreet,

I just now saw from BW 7.3 SP8 there is a option to create Query as source for an OHD.

Now, I read in other post there are specific limitations as such :

1) Query should not have user exits

2) Technical name has to be 20 letters.

the  link Query as InfoProvider - Generic Tools and Services - SAP Library

explains well. I am trying to create one with the help of the link. If any questions I will come back.

Mukesh
