Budget Reconstruction (FMAVCREINIT)

Hi Experts

I am asking if its possible to reconstruct a budget already with actual postings in CO at a later stage of the fiscal year when you activate Funds Management. In other words this is a situation where you go live with funds management at a later stage of the fiscal year, say a month or two after the new fiscal year start date and the budget already have some actual postings.

I would also be glad to hear other alternatives to such a scenario.

Hi Moses,

Ideally it is not recommended, not advisable to update FM objects to already posted documents, It is recommended to  line FM in the beginning of the year.

I agree with you that we go live with funds management at the beginning of the new year. However, I am exploring the feasibility of this reconstruction functionality in case otherwise.

Hi,

Please, browse SCN forum for FM activation in a living system: you would see a lot of information. Also, keep in mind that FMAVCREINIT is not the only action you would need to perform. This is maybe the less important one. Before, you would have to populate your documents with FM assignment, create FM documents, etc.
