PA 2.5 desktop - Error when saving Data Manipulation

Hi,

When I tried to save a Data Manipulation an error occurred and the message is as below:

Impossible to lock the model repository in <schema>.

Reason: : [S1000][SAP AG][LIBODBCHDB DLL][HDBODBC] General error;258 insufficient privilege: Not authorized

I wonder if it is because my HANA user doesn't have certain privilege.

For now I can only save the Data Manipulation as table or view.

I have read this thread PA 2.4 desktop - ODBC to HANA and didn't find an answer to my problem.

It's appreciated if anybody can tell me what privilege is missing or how to deal with this.

Hi Jiping, I think my answer in the other thread applies :-). Have you checked the instructions there? What was the outcome? Can you please screenshot the step when you save the data manipulation? Is it an option that you save your data manipulation as local files or do you need to store them in SAP HANA?

Hi Jipping,

As Antoine mentioned please save your metadata repository information in a local file instead of saving it in the DB, it should solve your problem.
