Equipment-Plan of maintenance (PM-MM)

Dear SAP Experts,

I would like some help about equipment and their plan of maintenance.

If I transfers my equipment in another division, is that I need to modify the division of planning?

Or it is possible to transfer an equipment and let a different division of planning ? Are there consequences ?

Equipment 10  in Division : 0010          (transfer)    -------> Equipment is now in Division 0018

Division of planning : 0010                                           -------> Division of planning : 0010 or 0018 ?

HI Amelie,

based on your explaination, I think your are referring to planning plant = division of planning & Division = Maintenance plant

if so, then

Equipment 10  in Division : 0010          (transfer)    -------> Equipment is now in Division 0018

ANS 1 - Division of planning : 0010                                           -------> Division of planning : 0010 ( If maintenace plant 0018 & 0010 have same planning plant as 0010)

OR

ANS 2 - Division of planning : 0010                                           -------> Division of planning : 0018 ( If maintenance plant 0018 is mapped with planning plant as 0018)

Customizing setting for this is in below path :

Display IMG > ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE > Assignment > PLANT MAINTENANCE > Assign maintenance planning plant to maintenance plant

Thank you for your helpful answer,

If I understand, I had to assign my maintenance plant 0010 to maintenance plant 0018-0010 (thanks to customizing).

With this customizing, I don't need to change my planning plan in every transfert that's right ?

HI Amelie,

Yes. When your planning plant ( 0010)  is same for both maintenance plant (0010 & 0018)  you don't need to change it when you change maintenance plant.

Hi Amelie,

What do you mean by division here ? Is it company code or Plant ?

In case if you have defined your Equipment as a Material, including the Master data change, you can do Stock transfer to the new plant using MB1B with movement type 301.

You need to contact your MM consultant
