Number ranges not working for Personnel Sub area

Hi Experts,

I assigned number ranges like below in NUMKR.

Country group

----->Personnel Area

---------> Personnel Sub area

------------> Return values=05(internal)

But when i go for hiring,the number ranges are not being picked up.Can anybody help me telling the reason.

Hello Raj ,

NUMKR will not work out if you maintain PSA level .You can refer SAP notes or few books (I have read it in book by PK Agarwal ). I have faced this issue in previous project. Even we tried to to get the solution in service market and planned to raise the OSS. But luckily client agreed to set up the number ranges at employee group level.

NUMKR effects on IT0000 generally but it wont effect if you maintain PSA level as we don't have field for PSA in IT0000 ( View T529A )with SAP standard .

If its mandatory , Please take help from ABAPer and it will long process get it done.But suggest you go for standard.

PSA will be get confirmed in IT0001 which is next step to IT0000

1. Check if feature is active.

2. Check if Number Range is maintained for '05' in tcode PA04.

Did you complete the following:

1. You must assign number range in NUMKR to the personnel area / company code
2. activated the feature

Hi Raj,

You can directly assign return value 05 to NUMKR  and then check.
