Error in SM21 logs

Hi All, Below error I am getting in SM21 , Time    Type Nr  Clt User        TCode          Priority Grp N Text 05:10:16 DP                                                Q0  4 Connection to user 101 What is the meaning of DP here, kindly let me know. Regards, Ankit

Hi Ankit,

In SM21, the line saying:

   05:10:16 DP                                                Q0  4 Connection to user 101...
refers to the Dispatcher.

You can find more information on the dispatcher trace file (dev_disp). This trace file can be found on the work folder from the application server (under directory /usr/sap/<SID>/D<instance_number>/work).

If, for instance, you find a line with 
  05:10:16 DIA  011                                                Q0  4 Connection to user 101...

this will refer to work process number 11. It's trace file is called dev_w11, and can be found also in the work folder from the application server.
