Reporting on MIC: Operations vs Inspection Points

Hi all,

I'm considering alternatives to implement an inspection process in a soft drink industry, and here is a simplified version of my inspection plan, with free inspection points:

Op 10 - Inspection on first bottle

- Charac A

- Charac B

- Charac D

Op 20 - Inspection on middle bottle, every 4 hrs

- Charac A

- Charac B

Op 30 - Inspection on middle bottle, every 24 hrs

- Charac A

Op 40 - Inspection on last bottle

- Charac C

- Charac D

All characteristics are MIC.

This is all fine except, when going to QGP1 - History for Inspection Characteristic, it makes me choose which operation I want to view before showing the results, but, what I need is to be able to show results for a characteristic irrespective of the operation, since it all relates to the same product, the content of a bottle.

Would I have just have the one operation with:

- Charac A

- Charac B

- Charac C

- Charac D

and when the first bottle comes the user opens inspection point and records results only for the relevant characteristics, ignoring the others, and so on for the others? The whole point of having multiple operations is so the user knows what tests to run for each bottle.

I have tried to see if QGP1 offers this, and its not looking like it does.

Thank you in advance for any input.

Best Regards

DM
