Blcok Planning class not copied in PDS

Hi All

I have done all required setting for block planning like class, chars, work center, routing, bom etc and also done block  planning setting in resource but after running    CURTO_CREATE in ECC and checked block class in PDS activity tab observed that block planning class not copied.

plz suggest the what would possible setting missing and reason.

Hi Mohan,

As per my understanding, there will not be any class transferred and assigned at the PDS level. Only the object dependencies from Super BOM and Super Routing in ECC will get assigned in the PDS, if you are using Variant configuration.

Then the CDP class will be assigned to the resource in which you want to define the blocks.

Could you please elaborate the issue little more with screen shots?

Hi Mohan,

As per the below SAP help document, if you would have transferred the PDS, before you maintained the CDP class in resource, then the class will not get updated in the PDS.

Block Planning with Production Data Structures (PDS) - Planning with Characteristics - SAP Library

Please try running curto_create transaction in ECC without checking the 'Change transfer' check box. Or run RIMODINI for your PDS integration model.

Also, I see that there is only one activity in the PDS. Is it a setup activity or a produce activity. In Setup activity, the Block planning class will not be assigned and only in produce activity, it will be assigned. Please check and revert.

I have followed step as per your suggestion still CDP Class not appears in PDS and also configuration tab not appears.

Hi Mohan,

I got it to work, the ABAPER had not properly activated the BADI.  I just went to the BADI and checked the status, where is showed de-activated, I just asked the Developer to Activate it.  If you show me all the details of your Classes and Characteristics, such as the configuration of your Organizational Area, I could probably debug your issue.

Hi Manimaran.

Class not CIFed to Product master hence I have maintained manually then run CURTO_CREATE now CDP class is copied to PDS.

Hi Mohan,

Looks like you solved your issue, I guess you are using Configurable Materials versus non-Configurable Materials with Block Planning.  On my side I am using Non-Configurable Materials where I assigned Class 018 to the Operation in the Routing, it works fine.

Dear Mohan,

As per my understanding the class is assigned to the resource as visible in the screenshot.

Can you please check whether there is an active integration model.

Try to Re-activate the Integration model.

Check whether your CDP class type 400  has been assigned to resource in APO under Block Planning or not . let us know .

Check first whether class is assigned to resource or not .If it is assigned it will automatically update in your PDS.
