How to deploy SAP Hana Studio and plugins?

Hello,

I'm a software packager and my customer delivered a folder with several files. A folder named instruntime and studio and the files hdbinst.exe, hdbsetup.exe, hdbuninst.exe, msvcr100.dll and SAP_HANA_Studio_Installation_Update_Guide_en.pdf which seems to be optional.

All these folders and files were copied to a network share. To start installation I use

hdbinst.exe -p "c:\Program Files\SAP\hdbstudio" -b

This installation is working without any problems.

Now to the current problem: After installation I should use menu Help=>Install new software. In "work with" I should enter https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/mars/, select all plugins and install them all. This step should be done automated.

So I selected everything and copied the plugins and features to the network share. If I copy the features and plugins folder back, some features could not be copied because the path to too long.

So how to deploy the plugins either during or after the installation of SAP HANA Studio.

Hi Martin ,

For deploying the new plugins, start the SAP Hana studio with right click on that and run as administrator.

The manual installation is working. I want to deploy the downloaded plugins. The user should not be manually update the installation with the required plugins. More or less there should be an offline installer for the program and plugins.

I want to deploy a package using a software deployment system, like SCCM or DSM.
