order to transport planning objects?

Hello

We have created the following planning objects: filters, variables, functions of planning, planning sequence, querys and workbooks. We have not created any aggregation level, we used the standards provided by SAP. We are working with IBP.

Now doubts us about what order we have to follow to transport planning objects. For example if you select a workbook already brings us all the necessary objects, i.e., querys, planning functions, filters, planning sequences...

I attached a screenshot:

When selecting a work book transport already, it is including all the necessary objects for transport.

My question is:

  1. Is better to select objects individually for the transport planning? Or by selecting a workbook that already takes me the other objects the transport work correctly?

Thanks for the help,

Hi,

Its better to split the transport if you have lot of objects, but a single TR is fine in case its a small development.

The order you should follow is:

- Aggregation level

- DataSilce, Characteristic relationship

- Query

- Filter

- Planning Function

- Planning Sequence

- Workbook.

Thanks for your reply Anupama, if only to transport the workbook that has already included all the necessary objects (level of aggregation, query, planning function,...) I should not give problems to the transport, is it so?

i understand you have one transport with workbook and all the dependent objects locked ? If yes then it should not give a problem.

So, when I select my work book for transport, this already includes all the necessary objects, and don't need to carry one one the objects independently.

I have another query:

In the system of integration, to perform the installation, already were activated all objects for the IBP, my question is, now I have the same levels of aggregation, planning cubes,... in the system integration, default workbook already mark me also the levels of aggregation to carry, but they are already on the target system This can be a problem when performing transport?

Greetings and thanks,

I am not clear what is the issue. Are you saying all the objects were already transported and your are doing the transport again?

No Anupama, I mean, that both in the development as the system integration was activated all the standard objects corresponding to the IBP (was not transported any object of planning between environments), attached screenshots of the 2 environments (development and integration):

As you can see, there are the same objects (aggregation levels, cubes,...) in both environments.

In the workbook we want to transport to the integration environment, we are selecting as required objects, the level of aggregation and everything below this object:

This level of aggregation is already in the target (second screenshot) system, my question I wanted to ask, is if when we perform transportation, can give us some problem with this object? Or is it necessary to uncheck the level of aggregation (/ ERP/SFIN_A91) and all objects below it?

I hope I explained it correctly,

The general practice is you activate business content only in development system and then transport it to quality and production. Are you planning to activate it in Production also? If yes then do not transport the business content objects, only move the custom objects. Else move the business content objects also.
