Hi Experts,
I have referred many number of forum discussions about this CRTD inspection lot issues and also analysed the same way to fix the issue, but unfortunately not able to figure out why the inspection lot in CRTD status.
Issue here is, Inspection lot generated for inspection type 10( QM in Delivery) shows in CRTD status though there is proper inspection plan created with Usage 6 (Goods Issue) and status 4(Released) and assigned MIC's which are in released mode, Sampling Procedure (Fixed) assigned to inspection plan. Inspection plan key date is 6 months before than inspection start date in Inspection lot. I tried creating multiple inspection lots and trying to assign the inspection plan manually in QA02 , but system says inspection plan could not be found.
We have spent lot of time to address the root cause but no use so far. Does this issue can be addressed through technical help, or do I have to re look the configuration / masterdata or need any OSS note to implement.

Thank you very much for your time to investigate the root causes.
Please find below the inspection lot status.
CRTD Created
PREQ Plan/specific. required
CHCR Characterist. must be created.
BASG Batch assigned.
Sampling procedure is used, in which fixed lot size defined as 1. Inspection lot qty is 2 generated during Outbound delivery. I have tried in QA02 for key date, but still system says the below message.
I could not see any change numbers and revision levels for this material.

Hi Rajender,
Looks like QP06 entry is missing, and probably this is something you should check. Otherwise, if the inspection plan would have exists, in QA02, you could have saw it coming up (in case of multiple entries) else, change of key date should have worked.
At the same time, please can you answer to Craig's query as we would like to know if your delivery is picked or not.

As per my understanding, QP06 transaction is to check Missing/ Unusable Inspection Plans for Materials. You can only display inspection plans for those items for which the indicator that there is no inspection plan is not set. If entry is missing means Material is assigned with Inspection Plan.
Even after changing the Key date and choosing Task list / Spec. button in inspection specification Tab in QA02, it shows the same error "No Inspection Plan could be found".
For Criag Querry: As per process inspection type 10 and usage 06 in inspection plan, Quality inspection lot will be generated as soon as Delivery(OBD) is created irrespective of Picking and packing transactions are performed.

May be you need to recheck the Usage of the inspection plan also please reverfiy with the usage updated in the configuration.
Also if multiple inspection plan exists then too inspection lot goes to CRTD status.
Please reply with the root cause if the issue is solved.

Are you sure if have added material to your inspection plan, which you have created? May be you can check in QP06 for your material and check if there is any plans assigned. Alternatively, you can check in table MAPL, to find out if any inspection plan is available.

As per the Inspection type 10 assigned in Material Master and the Inspection Plan has been setup with usage 6 (Goods Issue), Inspection type assigned to Delivery document type, we suppose to get the Inspection lot generated with REL status as soon as Delivery has been created for the sales order. Please note that we are not using QM-SD Info-record.

Doesn't work that way. It can't be released when the Sales Order is created. It can only be creaetd by the delivery as far as I know. What if the order was split between two deliveries?
Sales orders can only be used to generate lots for configuible materials I believe and then that is an 04 lot. Not 10. !0's are to be used by deliveries.
