Ship to party to be served from a different plant

Hi All,

I have requirement from a client which is that a ship to party should be served from a different plant on a certain days per week..Please advise how/if this can be configured in SAP SD..

What are "certain days per week"? Like, say, on Mondays and Thursdays only?

Your requirement cannot be handled by customizing. You'll need development for this. Check forms USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMINATION and USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP with your ABAPer to change the delivering plant of item according to your logic.

Thank you ..yes the requirement is Monday thru to Thursday from a new Plant. I will try to check the User exit you have advised. I was thinking there would be some configuration possible without a User exit.

Hello Apoorva,

There is no standard configuration available that will help to determine a different plant based on Customer being served on Certain days per week.

As mentioned by Kivanc above, you need to go for enhancements. I would further advise - rather than hard coding the days of the week and plant in custom program, try to create a Z-Table specifying days of the week and plant to be determined. This will help to a Super user to modify the table in future, incase the Business requirements changes (for example different or new plant to be determined on particular week day).
