Personal numbers not authorized

Hi team,

We are facing the issue like,

No Authorization for personal number XXXX using the data entry profile XXX  in CAT2 .

We have took the trace and applied the missing authorisations for P_ORGIN

but there are some employess are authorized fr the same data entry profile (we have only one DE profile), but when we check thre is no difference found in PA0001 for both pernrs (working and non working)

Even we have tried with * also for all the fileds (except persa in P_ORGIN), but not worked. We have checked the SAP notes which was also not useful.

But interestingly, CAT2 is working fine if we give * in persa filed of  P_ORGIN.

Please let me know what could be the reason and also suggestion as we do not want to give * to that field.

Thanks,

Sankar.

It's unlikely that the authorization error message you have mentioned is due to missing PERSA authorization. How did you get the trace? Also, can you double click on the error and send a screenshot of the details.

Thank you Tania.

The trace calling the persa as * and even if I apply all the relevant info types with all the required values as in SU53/trace also not satisfying and it only working with * in Persa in P_ORGIN.

Can you restore the PERSA to its original value. Then reattempt the transaction. When you get the authorization error, enter SU53 in a new session & send a screenshot.

Have you assigned the IT 316 authorization in P_ORGIN?

Yes ,, all possible values and it only working with * in P_ORGIN.

and there  is not difference between the emp structure for the emp no which is working and for the empno which is not working.

In the same su53 screen, can you expand the second part which shows the user's authorization objects? Expand all.

Ask Basis Team to compare user roles one who is not facing problem, and the other who is facing problem then we can easily drill down where exactly Authorization check is getting failed then accordingly we can find a solution since it is a problem with authorization level and field.

Assigne the authorization for CATS profile. using transation CAC1 and use this authorization as a subtype in authorization object  P_PERNR. Infotype 316.(0316 is dummy infotype only for authorization)

Hi Aravind,

If I understand good, Shan said you that assign the transaction CAC1 and the authority object with the following values (understanding that infotype 0316 is a DUMMY value).

Please Shan, correct me if I am wrong.

I hope that it can to help you.
Best regards.

Hi .. Yes your correct. but call the autorization which you have maintained in CATS profile as a subtype in authorization object P_PERNR.

CAC1--- Authorization is 0001... this should come as a subtype in P_PERNR

Hi Shan,

Good evening.

This is not resolved. Please help me with another suggestion.

We do not want to give * value for Persa.

Attached the authorizations and 0316 also added.  Secondly, how come this is solving with PERSA field contained *.

I did not observed any difference between the employees for whom user able to do CAT2 and for other not.

Thanks,

Sankar.
