S/4HANA Finance : integration IBP with CO planning functions

Hi,

In S/4HANA Finance we can use Integrated Business Planning to enter planning data into real-time infocube and then compare it with actual through virtual provider connected to Analytics Views. That's fine.

Still, most of the time we need to use standard ERP CO functions for integration with other modules or actuals processing : Activity type calculations, COPA top down allocations, Cost center allocations, Product costing, and so on.

I guess that "old" functions and transactions are always available in the ERP to do so.

The question is about integration between IBP and CO classic functions : if we enter data with IBP, how can we transfer data to CO functions and launch those functions without logging in the ERP ? Then, when tables are filled with the result of those functions, are there delivered Analytics Views to compare with actuals ?

Thanks very much for your answers !

Laurent

Hi Laurent,

Yes, there are 2 delivered workbooks that allow sending Cost Center, WBS and Internal Orders data back to ERP in some Version. You can then run allocation in ERP for that Version and then bring results back to IBP using same workbooks.

Hi Gersh,

Thanks for your answer !

Do you have more technical details about those workbooks ? The technical name, for instance, and the flow of data in and out ?

It seems to me that only real-time infocubes allow to save BW-IP data, except if we launch a function module at saving time to transfer data. What is the solution used here ? BAPIs or else ?

Hi Laurent,

If you open AO and run Find for "IBP" or "ERP" it will show you those 3 Workbooks.

To move data there are push buttons that are tied to Planning Sequences (Functions). Those Functions are implemented as FOX formulas. Those FOX formulas contain FM calls that read/write data from/to ERP using BAPIs.

It's a natural function of FOX to read/write data to Real Tim Cubes.

Hi Gersh,

Is there any way to copy data profit center planning from IBP to ERP? Since I didn't find any workbooks beside CC/IO/Project planning integration of IBP and ERP.

I need to compare profit center plan data and actual data via standard report in ERP such as S_ALR_87013326.

Thanks..

Bahtiar
