RFC adapter problem: ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED

Former Member

Hi All,

We have problems with a RFC adapter. The error is not consistent. Most of the time it works, sometimes we get the error below. It looks like the http communication with the XI adapter Engine fails. The problem is described in note 804124, but this note does not give us the correct answer.

We are on SP15, has anyone an idea?

Thanks,

Frank

Hi Michal,

Our Timeout settings are set on 300 sec.

Hi,

what says the icman trace?

Transaction: smicm, trace-level: 3 and send message again.

Do not forget to switch back tracelevel!

Hi Michal,

I don't think the timeout is the problem here, as you can see in the error, it states the the resource can not be found (404) and further in the error you find that the connection is Refused. This error occurs within in second after the message comes into SAP XI.

Hi Holger,

The ICM log gives the same error as in the message monitoring. But I think it is not on level 3. I will try that.

Thanx,

Frank

Hi,

we had similar issues on our XI 3.0 system and SAP suggested to upgrade the ABAP kernel to >= 102 as they have done tons of ICM problem fixing. See OSS Note 698017 for the ICM patch collection.

Now we don't have any ICM errors anymore.

May be it helps.

Hi Stefan,

I just heared from our basis team, that we are on kernel 107. So it is perhaps something else.

Cheers,

Frank

Frank,

Did you ever get a solution to this issue. We are having same problem as you describe, just every now and then.
