Using Dashboard Design 2016 with 64 bit

I have downloaded a trial version of Crystal Dashboard Design. Installation was unsuccessful because it requires Microsoft Excel 2007 (32 bit). I currently and using 64 bit, and was told by an SAP Rep that Crystal Dashboard “2016” would work with the 64 bit. I cannot find any documentation that states that.

I just checked the version I am working with and it is Microsoft Excel 2016 MSO 32-bit.  Still I get the error message saying that I need to install 2007 or higher 32-bit. How can this be remedied?

After I uninstalled MS Office 2016, then installed MS Office 2013, I am now able to use the trial. I'm still hoping Crystal Dashboard Design 2016 will work with Office 2016 once I purchase.
