Hello Experts,
We are planning to migrate our historical BW data to Sybase IQ and there is a topic which is not clear for me.
Lets assume that i have a record which belongs 2015 and we archived this record in DSO. Now we are in 2016 and if we receive a delta records for archived one then do we get error with Sybase IQ ? We are currently using SAND NLS and we are not able load delta record if it was already archived.

As you mentioned, delta records shall fail because that particular time slice is locked for updates.
There are 2 options to handle it:
1. Bring back archived data from NLS to BW, apply delta and re-archive to NLS
2. Straggler Management, it is the feature (SAP BW 7.5 & Sybase IQ) to handle delta without reloading data to BW.
Delta records were collected in error stack and then thru Error DTP updated in NLS directly (providing exceptional write/insert/update access).

Hi Kenan,
This seems to be one of the latest new NLS functionnality. It is called "straggler management" (available as of 740 SP12 ?).
According to the documentation this should allow to supend temporarily the read-only restriction for exceptional update operations (including INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE operations on logical row level). Quite a restrictive usage...

Frederic
