No software components after reste

Hey Experts,

after the execution of the task list "SAP_ESH_RESET" the software components are gone.

I'm not able to select a software component on the creation dialog in the esh cockpit.

System:

SAP_BASIS 7.50 SP01

S/4 HANA

Does anybody have an idea how to get the software components back?

Hi Simon,

Below are the Task list that can be used to re-set up Enterprise Search.

SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_000_CLIENT--> Intial setup of Embedded Search(client 000)

SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_WRK_CLIENT--> Intial setup of the working client

SAP_ESH_CREATE_INDEX_SC--> Create and index search connectors

SAP_ESH_UPDATE_SC--> Update of search connectors after model changes.

SAP_ESH_CINSISTENCY_CHECK--> Consistency check of search connectors.

SAP_ESH_INDEX_USER_AUTHORITY--> Index user authority

SAP_ESH_RESET--> Reset embedded search to inital state(purge)

SAP_ESH_ADJUST_AFTER_COPY--> Adjust data after system copy

SAP_ESH_ADJUST_AFTER_CLIENT_COPY--> Adjust data after client copy

You can use the above ones accordingly.

Also in the Modeler window (ESH_Modeler) there is a option to import software components. You can try that.

Hi

the Modeler window is empty.

I can't import software components like SAP_APPL.

It is also not possible to execute the tasklist for initial setup of the working client because for step 6 you have to specify a software component and its model(s).

Hi Simon,

Did you not take a back up of system before doing "SAP_ESH_RESET"?

Usually if you dont take the back up, the data is lost and data cannot be re-covered.

Run the task list to create another working client from 000.

I will also look for better solution in the mean time.
