Installation Error NWABAPTRIAL70211 64 GW204 package

Hi, I cannot find the answer for my issue. During the installation and phase 9 of 24 I get this error and I am afraid I cannot fix it on my own.

An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :Error during execution of command identifier 'DB_CREATE' : com.sap.sdb.sllib.api.exceptions.ToolException: Error during command: C:\sapdb\programs\pgm\dbmcli.exe -R "C:\sapdb\NSP\db" db_create NSP *,* ERR -24994,ERR_RTE: Runtime environment error Service has not been installed correctly:MAXDB: NSP Service has not been installed correctly:MAXDB: NSP (slow)).

Hi Martin,

It looks like the system has trouble installing the Windows service for the database. Did you start the installation as administrator?

thanks for your help.... I am not really sure so I tried it once more and now I got at the same phase this error:

Ok, so the process WAS able to create the database, but not the Windows services. For now, I would proceed by first uninstalling everything, because there is some half finished business. After that, start the installation again with admin rights by either login as an (local) administrator, or start the installation as admin by right clicking the file, and choose 'run as administrator'.

Ok, I unistalled everything and cleaned registry. Now I got at phase 4 this error which I usually solved by running kernel manually.       An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :Error during execution of command identifier 'XSERVER_STOP' : MaxDB Software must be installed before this class can be instantiated!).

Ok that is strange. The installation of MaxDB should be part of the installation process. Can you verify if this indeed has taken place? Did you install the software manually at your first try?

At my first try I solved this by manual installation of the database although it should be a part of the installation. What exactly I should verify?

I don t know whether I should do it again since I will very probably at the phase 9 get an error that the database already exists.

The database instance is something different than the software. If you want to create a database, the software has to be installed first. So installing the software can be done. For other databases than MaxDB (ands ASE), this is mandatory. For MaxDB however, it's part of the installation. There's no harm installing it manually, but don't create a database.

When I run SDBSetup.exe there is only option to instal SAP MaxDB software and database - no other option
