Role of the "Person Responsible" for Project Tasks when they are not responsible for the project overall.

Hi All

As a PM I am interested in understanding what happens in Byd if the "Person Responsible" for Project Tasks is different from the person responsible for the overall project ?  They are not necessarily the person undertaking the wor, just been made responsible

In any WoC do they get a notification ?

Do they have to close tasks off for an example ?

Would they do Time Entry approvals for those tasks ?

I get the point that conceptually a PM drives the project and they may make a Line Manager "responsible" to ensure a task is completed by one of their staff.

Thank you.

Hello Garrette,

The Person Responsible field at project header level represents the project manager and the project manager can define the persons responsible at project task level.

Time recordings are sent to for approval to the person responsible of tasks, this selection is inherited to subordinate project tasks.

The task responsible person can take the decision to complete the respective assigned task if the work is completed.

Always the notifications will be sent to project manager but i am not sure will the person responsible will get any notification.

Best regards,
Sahalya
