Hello Experts,

I have following requirement from customer.

Current Scenario

Sold To        Customer Name       Company Code

100009787     ABCD                     1000

100010544     ABCD                     1400

Business has configured different sold to number for same customer address to for whom they are doing sales from different company codes.

Now business wanted to have one sold to for same customer address even if they are doing sales from different company codes.

Future Scenario

Sold To        Customer Name       Company Code

100009787     ABCD                     1000

100009787     ABCD                     1400

Requirement:

Can we populate historical sales posted for Sold To (100010544)  in the past to the new configured Sold To (100009787).

Appreciate your quick response.

Regards

JK

Hi Jitin,

If there is a possibility to reload data, you can create a new IO as OLD Customer #, and create formulas or start routine to replace OLD number with the new ones and reload data. (of course this solution depends of several topics as Volumen, Model, Time to do this, ....)

If there is no possibility to reload data, I would think in two different solutions.

1. Hierarchies in BW

2. Attributes

If the solution depends on me, I would give a shot with Attributes.

You can create attributes in SOLD-TO with a superior Customer IO. Assign the new value in attribute to the oldest customers and replace the IO in queries.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards.

Hi,

Can we populate historical sales posted for Sold To (100010544)  in the past to the new configured Sold To (100009787).

if  this sold-to 100010544 is assigned to new customer name in future, then all your historic data gets pointed to new customer name.

Hi Jyothi,

Could you please elaborate more on this.

How can historic Sales for sold to 100010544 will be aggrgated to Sold To 100009787, once master data team will configure the only 100009787 sold To for same customer address.

Appreciate your help on this.

Hi,

how are your functional team going to assign sold-to 100010544  in future? I dont think they are going to delete it, instead they might be reassigning it to some other customer address ? isn't it?

Hi Jyothi,

Master data team will flag other Sold-To for no postings and no reporting.

But they will not delete it from the system.
