Document viewing in maintenance order

Hi,

I have a situation where some of the equipments are critical and when a maintenace order is created, the maintenance instruction document for crtitical equipments should be available in the order.

I thought of doing by attaching the maintenance instruction documents in Equipment master using DMS and opening this document through maintenance order.

I am looking for an option where this document from equipment master can be viewed in maintenance order screen directly with a single click instead of going to equipment master screen.

please note- I am not attaching any new documents in maintenance order screen only referring a document from equipment master.

Hello

it is possible see, this is under the tab Additional Data. Here you are able to allocate DMS documents to an Order with quite nice functionality like you get proposal from EQUI, Floc etc...

as the whole document functionality is within 2 Innovation please also refer to SAP Note 1821916. Here it is also described which manual activities have to be done.

Hi Vineeth,

if you attaché the document by document management system (DMS), no need to do anything, standard sap will show the document icon in work order screen (in front of equipment number) as show in below screen shot.

if you attaché any document by Service for object, its will not show in work order automatically. but you can use user exit/BAdi and assign the same document to work order Service for object.

• In fact your initial query resolves with the reply of Dhanraj.
• If you have requirement beyond that like Equipment, Notification DMS tab like thing, enough inputs have already been received from Stephan.
• You should think of closing the thread. I do not think more is there to be heard on this.

If you are looking for DMS tab like Notification, Equipment then it is not available in PM Order. SAP standard has not given this provision of attaching Documents (DMS) to an Order. See this related note: 1673999
