Valuated and Non-valuated Project stock difference

hi All,

I've tried to check the impact / diff in Valuated and Non-valuated Project stock on G/L entries & I seem to miscomprehend with what I read and what I actually see in system.

What I actually see in system:

Step-1: Create Project with - 'Valuated / Non-valuated project stock' checkbox selected

Step-2: Created PO with Acct Assgnmt Category P/Q

Step-3: At time of GR (MIGO), both scenarios of Step-1 resulted in FI - Accounting entries.

References I've read:

Valuated Project Stock - Manufacturing - SAP Library  states All goods movements are immediately reflected in Financial Accounting

Non-Valuated Project Stock - Manufacturing - SAP Library  states Goods movements to individual stock are not valuated and do not give rise to postings in Financial Accounting

How to configure valuated project stock?

Q-1) Am I missing any additional configuration (Ex: OBYC) the reason why I see FI - Accounting entries for both the scenarios?

Q-2) Any document which shows impact on G/L Entries when I use 'Valuated / Non-valuated project stock' entries?

Pl advise on above queries.

-thanks

Here's what you will see at GOODS RECEIPT:

Valuated Project Stock = Account Assignment Q, Accounting and Material Document only, No CO Document.  Value posted to Balance Sheet.

Non-Valuated Project Stock = Account Assignment P (direct consumption), Accounting, Material, and CO Documents.  Value is posted to the P&L (to the WBS)

Here's what you will see in subsequent goods movements:

Valuated Project Stock - Accounting, Material, and maybe CO Documents (depends on what type of movements)

Non-Valuated Project Stock - Just Material Documents, no Accounting or CO Docs.
