Implementing MDG COnsolidation FIORI App

Hi All,

i am trying to configure MDG COnsolidation FIOIR App. I checked in FIORI library it says it should be done on MDG9 . I am confused can we configure MDG consolidation FIORI APp on MDG8. Also have looked into help.sap.com it says we need HANA as pre-requisite for configuring MDG COnsolidation APp.

Can any one please clarify these?
