Not able to set up a PCo Dataserver in MII 15.1

I am trying to set up a PCo Dataserver in an 15.1 MII server. I'm using a PCO Connector as the connector type, and  the URL option to provide the conection information for the Plant Conectivity instance.  After providing the correct URL I obtain the window asking for the Windows  user and password of the PCo Server.

Problem comes after I provide the correct credentials . I do not obtain any result. Only an empty screen with no PCo Agent in the list. No error message.

I have tried changing the server address, fully qualified server address, and IP address, all with the correct port, and correct credentials of the server but the result is the same .

I have installed and started the PCo 15.1 and even set up the conection to the same MII instance correctly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you paste format of your PCO url here. I am not able to connect, is there any need to add this address on host file of MII and can we run PCO on our local laptop for testing purpose.

Hi,

Can you check if 'SAP Plant Connectivity (Management Host)' service is running?

If not start it and test.

Does http://<Server>:50050/PCoManagement?wsdl  return wsdl file?  Note: 50050 is default.

Thanks,

Shridhar.

Hi Guillermo,

  1. Which Version, SP, and patch of both MII and PCo?
  2. In MII, is the PCoConnector Data Server Status OK?
  3. If MII is on a Windows server, open a browser and try retrieving the PCoMangement url from there.
  4. In PCo, is the Agent Instance Query Port set up for the correct version of MII?
  5. In PCo Management Console, set the  PCo Agent Instance (to which PCoConnector Data Server is pointing to) Log Level to Verbose, clear the log, and then re-attempt to connect from MII. Are there any log messges that are present about the attempt?

Thanks for the answer Steve.

I succeeded in conecting the PCo. I turns out there was no Agent Instances created in PCo , that is why the answer came back empty .

I created an instance and it showed ok during the process.

Thanks for your help.
