KUT Extension Fields in Custom BO Screen

Please confirm whether KUT extension fields can be created in Custom BO Screen. Please provide references or examples. Thanks.

Hello Austin,

If you have added Stable Anchors to your UI this is possible.

This is a tag in the UI Designer: Whenver you see the tag "Extensibility" a tag below called "Anchor" appears. The latter must carry an unique id.

I've added anchor, I'm now able to edit field features( readonly, visible and so on), able to add mashup, but still not able to add field. Can you please suggest, whats missing for me?

Hello Jan,

I am no expert by my own, but I've always been told, that there are dedicated types of anchors supporting dedicated actions.

Like for properties => readonly, visible, ...

There shall be also the type "AddField".

Hello Horst,

thank you for hint. I did some more investigation, for standard screens, there are assigned Nodes for each selection group anchors,

but on my custom UI, I dont have such option (at least Im not able to see with my setting). Do you know, if this option is really possible for custom BO?

Hello Jan,

Just talked to expert.
I am sorry, but he told me, that the AddField type is reserved for SAP BO only.

The expectation is, that in a Custom UI for a Custom BO only fields from that Custom BO shall be used.

My Idea:
You can try to map a transient field from your Custom BO to the resp. KUT field via ABSL coding.

this is probably not the way, as we wanted to adjust custom node in via KUT.

Hi,

No, you can not add new field for custom solution in browser, like KUT fields.

Only option personalization, When you create your custom solutiin you should add extra possible fields which you think required in future BO, which you can show or hide it from personalization.

Or you have option of create patch solution and add fields whenever you need.
