How to convert english data to french language

Hi all,

I got a requirement to covert English data into French..

Let me explain with an example:

As we have one source data which is coming as a relational table , in that table we have 5 columns , and client asked us to add one more column and whatever fourth column data is there , client requested us to convert fourth column data in to French and populate into 5th column ( wic is newly created).

So my concern, How can we achieve this requirement in sap bods (we are 4.2 version) , Is there any seperate transform for this requirement.

I saw blocks, many suggesting use text data processing, so could u also explain wat is the use of this, PLease reply ASAP
