CJ20N : assigning different Person Responsible for each wbs element while releasing wbs

Greetings Experts,

In our business scenario it is required to incorporate different Person Responsible for individual wbs elements while releasing depending on the nature of work. Currently single person responsible can be assigned while releasing the wbs.

I understand that Validation rules guide the system here, what changes are to be made?

Please guide as to how this can be done.

Regards

Mazal

Hi Mazal,

To achieve it you would require Substitution not Validation.. You can get your technical team to write a small program to check for the WBS  the work type and person responsible to be entered for the type of work

You would need to create a Custom Table to store the linkage of work type to person responsible.

if you need multiple person responsible you can use Partners functions in WBS and substitute these..

Hope it helps..

Hi Mazal,

Do you want to maintain multiple person responsible in a WBS element ?

Try to use the User Fields for additional personal responsible. In case if you need F4 list, then you need to go for an enhancement.

Hi Terence,

User should be able to maintain separate person responsible in each wbs element e.g.

PD xx - 680

WBS xx - 680

WBS Element xx.1 - 680

WBS Element xx.2 - 640

WBS Element xx.3 - 12

while releasing so that post release work specific to department flow to them.

Please suggest.

Hi Mazal,

Refer below screenshot, i have maintained the personal number in OPS6 and while creating the project, it was assigned by user manually

1. Maintain the Person responsible in OPS6

2. To Trigger workflow, get in touch with your development or workflow consultant.
