Issues with check-in (bpm models)

I am having some strange issues with checkin failing but only when my projects include .bpm models. Here is the situation ....

  • I keep all models for a particular system in a Project
  • I am running 16.5 SP05
  • DB is SQL Server 2008 R2
  • the bpm model is BPMN descriptive
  • The error I am seeing in the proxy logs is 2016-05-31 18:45:19 error - OdbcError(3): [23000] [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.PMXMCS' with unique index 'PMXMCS_PK'. The duplicate key value is (0)

When I remove the bpm model from my Project, everything else (a couple eam and oom models) checks in just fine. The Project and its models were pre-existing (i.e. created prior to my upgrade to SP05) but same thing happens when i create a new Project and model from scratch.

Anybody experienced this?

Thanks in advance

Bruce

If you check in model only, does it work?

I recall there is issue on project in 16.5.5, which can cause duplicate key error when

running check in. The fix is in PL05.

    Hi Bruce,

we had the same problem during check in of BPM models. The issue has been solved within PD 16.5 SP5 PL3 or PL4 (not sure anymore). Since we installed this PL4 version the check in of BPM models works fine.

    Best regards,

    Simon

Thanks guys - installing 16.6 on my dev server was on my list for 'some day soon" - I guess i will make it "some day sooner" and see if that resolves the problem.
