How to use Full-WinGui in Portal

Former Member

Hi all,

we have an R/3 in use with User-Mapping. When we start a transaction (e.x. SMEN) we do not have all the functions of the SAP WinGui started locally.

Button: Create New Modus is unavailable.

In EP5 we started the transaction with the Parameters:

WinGuitype: Structured Document AND

SAPGUI for Windows Shortcut -ConnectionData/Configuration:

Workplace=True

Is there a solution/workaround for EP6, as we can't use Shortcut, because we can't use the SSO Ticket (-> UserMapping).

Thanks for any help.

Frank

Hi Frank,

To get full WinGUI functionality in the portal (so that Create New Session button etc are available) you need to set the Workplace parameter to false.

To do this in EP6, go to the file .../irj/root/WEB-INF/portal/portalapps/com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap/property/Transaction/WinGuiRenderLayer.properties

In this file, change -wp=true to -wp=false and also Workplace=true to Workplace=false.

Forgot to say - you will need to restart the portal for the change to take effect.

Hi Frank,

In the Transaction iView, there is a property called "How to Start SAPGUI". You have three options (auto, SSD and SSF). Setting this will solve your issue.I hope this helps.

Siva

P.S: Award Points if you find this useful.

Hi Siva,

SSF works, but only when you have the "Ticket-Solution". With Usermapping this is not working with our system or did i made a mistake?

Have you/anyone a Usermapping-Scenario where SSF is working?

Thanks again, best regards

Frank
