change inspection lot qty in MD04

Dear All,

we have inspection lot number in MD04 Transaction code with quantity 6250 PCE with Open qty.

Any Function module available to edit the quantity of inspection lot from 6250 PCE to 0 PCE.

Please share the steps also.

I already replied to your previous same thread to adjust this quantity.still replying again..

Prerequisite -6250 pcs should be available in unrestricted.

1.Deactivate qm setup for this item

2.go to migo and select transfer posting

3. Select movement 322 and quantity 6250 and post it.

4. Now 6250 posted will be in qm stock.

5.make ud for pending lot with stock posting

6.now your quantity will not be available in md04

Now reinstate qm set up for item

Note-if you don't have sufficient quantity in unrestricted, repeat above steps accordingly

but given solution no accepted  because there are lots of quantity at quality level and Deactivate QM setup was not accepted by Business.

please provide your inputs if any FM available for correction qty at MD04 level.

Dear,

I already told you that you have to disable QM set up temporary. After you finish this activity, you have to again enable QM set up. Quantity of lot can not be edited as these are auto generated lots and not type 08 lots.

In this case you may try arijit's solution of SAP note 48815 or Amol's solution of note 717622. But please give feedback which one has worked for you.

Sorry, I didn't understood your problem at a high level. Before we suggest anything, please can you let us know how is this Inspection lot generated? Have you done UD = A to move the quality stock to unrestricted use stock? Or, though UD is done, still the stock posting didn't happened? What is the system status for your inspection lot right now? In case if your intension is to make this stock quantity in the inspection lot as "Zero" so that this inspection lot is removed form MD04 screen, then you have to follow the process first to do UD, and get this happened.

Please note that if your inspection lot is generated form any process, we need to understand what has contributed to the stock being logged under Inspection lot. For any corrections, you can run Tx - QAC1 and update the quantities (May be you can check yourself what FM is linked to this transaction...), but not sure if "0" PCE will be accepted for it.

Dear Arijit,

Inspection lot generated against Purchase order GRN with quantity 6250 PCE. due to some issue user has MBST of the material document of GRN. Now stok is not available at Quality stock but inspection lot still open with REL status.

we can also changes the Inspection lot status REL to LTCA with FM.

Business problem is Inspection lot wit 6250 PCE showing in MD04 afte LTCA status. requirement is Remove the Inspection lot row from MD04 or changes the Quantity 0 PCE so no issue coming in Purchasing Process.

In purchasing it's showing quantity 6250 available even IL masked LTCA status.

Hi Ketan,

Is your inspection lot in LTCA status now? Or ??

Please try SAP note 48815, and if it's working, then it will try to push 6250 PCE in Unrestricted use stock. But practically, this stock is no more available as the MBST MvT has reversed the material received. So you should do physical Inventory count posting to set this value of inventory to "0". Hopefully this process should be a compliant process, in case it is working.

Also try QAC1 to change the Quantity in inspection lot and confirm if that is working.

we have also try with QA02 for quantity correction but deficit quantity error coming because stock is not available against IL.

current status of inspection lot is REL.

Have you implement SAP note 48815. it as helpful in my case ?
