Incorrect recording view

Hi,

I am using Incoming Inspection process and using standard Inspection type - 01.

When trying to record the results, I am getting this message

Incorrect recording view - You cannot record by units to be inspected Confirm, to select the 'Overview'.

I dont know, why it is giving this message.

Check the Inspection Plan :

Double click on operation - Recording view is Single values and summarized results(default view).

Im not using serial number for Incoming Inspection.

but i am using serial number for Inprocess Inspection and its working fine.

Check the SPRO setting also -- no background check for results recording..

    Hi Maujawar,

    You need to investigate for the cause by checking the below steps -

    a) If by chance you are using any User Parameter [Example - QER, QERSMAL, etc] at result recording. If so, then you need to check what view is associated with it. If this is not the case, it will follow b) as below..

    b) If you have maintained recording view in Inspection plan => Operation details => Recording view. If this is blank, then it will take the value form c) below.

    c) In the default choice for inspection type (Configuration), you have recording view maintained or not.

    Now coming to the next point - you seems to be using Serial Number for 'In-process Inspection' but not for 'In-coming Inspection'. If that being the case, I believe you have used the result confirmation as 'Single Results' for your MIC's used in the inspection plan. With this setup, the correct combination is '11-Recording by units to be inspected" and not '12-Single values and summarized results'/Default view.

    Now please can you also check, for your incoming inspection type (01), do you have by chance also activated "Serial Number Possible". If so, then for this case also you need to process like in-process inspection. Else, deactivate Serial number activation form inspection type, and then try with 11 as explained above.

    Share your thoughts to investigate further.

      So you mean if you remove parameter QER, you have problems for Inprocess inspection, but incoming inspection it is fixed?

      Well, you can first check that serial number is NOT ACTIVE for incoming inspection type 01, but ACTIVE for in process inspection type 03. Then you can try removing the parameter ID for user ID.

      After that try to check - MIC is Single Results active and correct combination '11-Recording by units to be inspected" and not '12-Single values and summarized results'/Default view is maintained. Check if there is any impact.

      Please share your investigation once again...
