ESR and ID connection to server lost

Dear Friends,

When I log on to ESR and ID , its gets disconnected due to some issues ( network , system down or etc.. ).after that it just ask for password but its not able to login and I should open from starting using my PI url. Kindly help me in changing any parameters or anything else we need to do.

For reference :

Connection Interrupted

Connection to server lost

You can login once the server is available again

Do you want to log on again?

Seems like your PI server is not stable,Check with basis and also check ur internet connection is consitent.

Dear Raghuraman,

PI server is stable only. My real worry is when i connect to VPN , it disconnects with many reasons. But when I need to connect again by giving password to ESR and ID its not connecting, So I need to close all sessions and re-open ESR/ID.

Please help we need to changes any settings or else anything.

Hi,

we have the same issue: You are connected to IB Tools, network connection breaks and once you are asked to reconnect providing the password again, this re-connection is not working.

In tracefile dev_icm I found the following messages which are related to this

...

"[Thr 1029] *** ERROR => client with this banner already exists: 1:<ip>:<port> {00113c5f} [p4_plg.c 3550]"

...

SAP note "1843232 - P4 duplicate banner error in ICM on host with multiple IPs" says that this behaviour is a security feature of ICM. The same client must not have more than one P4 connection to ICM.

So after connection between client and server has been broken we would need a mechnism to terminate the existing connection without closing/reopening the IB Tool. So far I couldn't find a parameter which would influence this behaviour.

Maybe someone has a solution for this.
