Scheduled Jobs

Could anybody please let me know how to re-schedule the job:

SAP_REORG_NONE_R3_STAT_DB

The job was initially set up by a user who has left, so i'm trying to re-schedule.

I have re-scheduled the job : -

SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT, which manages the above, but it doesn't create the SAP_REORG_NONE_R3_STAT_DB job as I was expecting.

Thanks

Ian

Hi Ian,

You could use SM36->Standard Jobs to define the characteristics of the job (i.e. name, ABAP, default variant, frequency) and then re-schedule it from there. If you ever lose the released version of the job again, you would simply go into SM36->Standard Jobs and re-schedule it again.

SAP_REORG_NONE_R3_STAT_DB has a very simple definition - it executes ABAP RSN3_AGGR_REORG on a daily basis. This would be easy to define in SM36->Standard Jobs and make scheduling it easy.

We use SM36->Standard Jobs to define all our housekeeping jobs and then schedule them from there.

Gary

I have seen both links but they didn't help.

The job just doesn't re-schedule like I expect it to.

Hi Ian,

If you still unable to re-schedule the job, you can change an existing one that was defined by a user who left. The only thing you need to change is User field in the job step.

Here is a brief sequence of steps:

Open SM37, mark the existing job (in a status released on scheduled) and click on Job=>Change. In the next screen click on Step button and then, once you see step details ofor a job go into change mode and change the user field to a user that is active in the system (and is authorized for running this job/program)

Mike

That would have been an excellent suggestion if I wasn't so quick out the blocks and deleted the job first!

Thanks
