Pre-Define SAP Standard Jobs

HI SAP Experts

I have a trouble with setting Standard Jobs.

Based on SNote 16083 and 1440439, I tried to define standard job in ERP environment.

However, when I tries to Predefine following jobs, I cannot define these job as standard job.

SAP_CHECK_ACTIVE_JOBS

SAP_REORG_ORPHANED_TEMSE_FILES

SAP_ADS_SPOOL_CONSISTENCY_CHECK

When I save in Predefine window, there is the box for variant.

However, I cannot choose any variant and save as standard jobs.

Could you please help?

Hi Lio

First you need to create the variant for the ABAP program / report, this is normally done by the owner of the job in t code se38.

Please refer the below link in case you need to create a dynamic variant.

I just wandering why I have to create a dynamic variant in SE38.

This is just a standard job, and i do not know what a dynamic variant I should create.

Hi Lio.

1. Are you getting any error message while creating the BG job?

2.  Based on your business need you have to define the retention policy. Kindly refer the SAP KBA

I answer the question as below:

1. I did not get any error message. what I got was just "No Values Found" in the left bottom of my screen. And i could not pre-define the jobs.

2. As i answer above, I cannot schedule above three jobs because they are not pre-defined.
