Deleting the Downloaded File in Work Manager Solution

Hi Experts,

In the standard Work Manager 6.2, The Workorder Object has DocumentLinks Collection (Collection of DocumentMetaData Object), When the Push is enabled, By standard behaviour the initial Workorder fetch will only fetch the Workorder Object and its Child Object properties. Clicking on a DocumentMetaData will trigger a Push and sends a Download request to the back end. When download happens, the downloaded file is placed in the Documentlinks Object which is under Main Object. The physical file is stored in a absolute path in the computer's storage.

My question is, functionally the Attachment is assigned to the Workorder, Currently in the standard Work manager 6.2 while discarding a Workorder doesnt actually clear off the downloaded objects which are there in the DocumentLinks Object under Main Object. Isn't it functionally incorrect?

Also Will a delete transaction to DocumentLinks Object (under MainObject) deletes the physically stored file in the storage?

Regards

Hi Madan,

There is an option in External Data Property where you set how you want to deal with the file when the object is deleted.

Did you try setting the When Object is Deleted to Always delete file?
