Passthrough interface with the response/email to Thirdparty

Hi,

I have a requirement like File to File scenario without mapping.SAP ECC sends the file to Client FTP server via SAP PI.

Client requested us,whenever the file is picked up by SAP PI,they want an email with the filename and the message like file has been picked up by SAP PI.

We thought of design as below:

1) Build the first interface from ECC to thirdparty using file to file.

2)Build another interface from ECC to thirdparty using file to Mail.

Can Mail adapter sends an email with the filename and also is it possible to send an email once the file is picked up by SAPPI.

Can you please suggest how can we acheive the design in the effective way ?

Please advise ?
