Kindly check the scenario which is causing the loan installment not being able to recover in full.
The payroll rejection you are having is expected in these situations.
As the loan wage types are customized in V_T51P6 with type 7, then the loan will not be reduced in case not enough net amount is available and the employee will be rejected:
[...] Specification 7: Loan, no reduction This is a loan wage type. No reduction is allowed. If the net amount for the loan repayment is not sufficient, you must lower the amount of repayments manually in the infotype Loans (0045). The person is rejected. [...]
Loan repayment can not be carried forward to DDNTK & ARRRS as the interest amount calculation will go for a toss. So, the system is working as designed.
You could adapt the monthly repayment through infotype 45 or remove loan wage types from V_T51P6 to avoid rejection, but definitely the system is not designed to perform a partial loan recovery.
