Amit
Can you check whether your File Adapter Status is " <b>ACTIVE</b> " or not.
Also pls. check your Change list.
Also try to use the Absolute path for your file location.

Hi Amit,
When you click on file adapter, you will get a list which is the name of the communication channel which you have defined. Are you able to find your communication channel here?. If not you have not activated it. Go to the configuration scenario right click and say activate. Go to the standard change list and make sure your communication channel is not one of the objects there, if it is there right chick on it and say activate. once this is done you must be able to see your communication channel in the adapter monitoring--> file adapter. Once this is done kindly see what is the error and post it here, so that we may be able to help you out.

Chandra

Hi Amit -
In your Int. Directory, goto menu Environment->Cache Notifications and see if you see any errors/problems there. If you were able to activate the channel and you don't see it in the adapter monitor, there probably was a problem in updating the cache.
If you see some problems there, try to to manually retrigger the notification with the problem using the "Repeat Cache Update for Instance" and see if it gives you any indication of what the problem may be.

Jin
Hi -
Do you see anything in your Problems tab within Cache Notifications?
In your SLD, goto Technical Landscape and choose Exchange Infrastructure. Do you see an entry for Integration Directory and other XI components and are they all listed in the same Domain?
What happens when you do a full CPA cache refresh using http://<xiserver>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full ? You should use XIDIRUSER for this.

Jin

Hi -
You should at least see Technical System (both ABAP and Java for your XI system if the post-installation activities were followed.
Please confirm that all the post-installation activities as stated in the XI 3.0 SR1 Installation Guide have been completed prior to moving on to any design or configuration.

Jin

Hi -
Ok, a few more things:
Is your SM59 destination (INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI) maintained correctly? This would be within 'HTTP Connections to R/3 System'. Do a test connection and see if you get the expected HTTP 500 Internal Error (which is the desired result).
In SXI_CACHE, do you see any refresh errors when you do a full cache refresh?
Is this a new installation? Have any scenarios been run end-to-end successfully? Does SLDCHECK return any errors?
<i>Take a look at Note 780747 and also the following guide:
https://websmp203.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700003163902004E/HowTo_handle_XI_30_Caches.pdf
There's troubleshooting section in this guide that may help you.</i>
Outside of this, I would recommend that you open a Customer Message to SAP Support so that they take a look in your system.
Regards,
Jin

Hi Amit,
If the file adapter is not shown as green in adapter monitor then it means that there is some problem with the configuration you have done to the adapter. You'll get the info why the adapter has gone into error from the adapter monitor.
Cheers

Hi Amit,
If your file adapter is in red, then it implies that there is a problem in your adapter configuration
and that is why the file is not being picked up.
Can you tell us the error that is shown in your file adapter so that we can help you solve this issue.
Also, let us know what you have entered as the input for your file adapter so that we can help you better,
Regards,
Bhavesh
