BO report Port

Hi Experts,

I have only one environment i.e. sandbox ..so i am craeting the report using the Bics -bex query through IDT connection ...in bex there is two environment one is Dev and other is prod..please advise me for development of report using dev connection and port how should i port it into prod..because right now first i am creating bex query and port it into prod then creating bo report using prod connection in IDT..

please advise as there is two times development with this one with using Dev connection and other with prod.

Hi Rizwan,

Ask your BO admin to move the dev report  to production environment If you have authorization use promotion management tool for moving object from dev to prod.

once you have move the connection and report object in prod. go to cmc and change the parameters for the Connection.

It will help you.

But  BO is in only one environment i.e.sandbox only and through sandbox I am  using connection for dev and connection for prod through idt..

there is no need to create report multiple times.create report in Dev and move the report &connection  in the Prod via Promotion Management tool.

After moving report & connection you need to update the prod server detail in the connection.

in this case create individual BICS connection for each report development.After finishing the development change the connection details to Prod for specific report.
