Technical Monitoring - Email Notification - Modify the Email Subject Description and Email Contents

Hello Guru's,

We have enabled Technical Monitoring functionality in our Solution Manager 7.1 system which is on SP11.

The Email Notification Subject contains the Alert Group description to which it belongs to. But we want to change Alert Description that comes in subject line of Email Notification. Also we want to change the email description. Can anyone please help me in achieving above changes for email notification.

Hi Rakesh,

You need to go to Alerts tab under your template.

And then select Notifications tab.

You can find these options in Advanced Settings tab.

Hi Rakesh,

I am not sure from which SP level this feature is available. We are currently on SP13.

I have below requirement, if you could assist me for same.

Is it possible to change the Alert subject to reflect the actual metric name, instead of the category?

Like: In case of work process monitoring of ABAP instances, we have an alert subjected "Not Enough Dialog Resources". The subject line is misleading which catch attention of the resource that there is hardly any dialog resources left in the system. Whereas the system will have enough no.of free DIA wps. However, the attachment i.e. alert analysis report shows a red rating to metric "Number of long running dialog work process" (as per threshold set).

Would like to know if the metric name itself can appear in the alert subject which would give clarity on a glimpse of the alert, rather than misleading.
