ECC R/3 and HR

Hello Experts,

i always failed to understand why do we need to maintain HR along with ECC in order to provide authorizations. Just authorizations. I think ECC is enough for authorizations.

Could somebody help me understand the significance of coexistence of HR and ECC.

Do you mean why do we usually need a separate client for HR, and not implement its functionality in the same client as ECC or what?

Hi Bilgin,

No. Why do we need to have ECC and HR on the same client. I have seen many project where HR is only maintained for providing structural authorizations and some SAP organizational values via Org structure. We are after all giving authorizations.
