Maintenance Planner group control in equipment and functional location

Hello Experts,

I want to have control with maintenance planner group (MPG) field in equipment master and functional location to behave differently. I want MPG to be mandatory in Equip master and not mandatory in Functional Location.

Planner Group- ITOB- INGRP is a common field for Equip master and Functional Locaton, so by Field Selection in screen, it is not helping me much.

Is there anyway, I can maintain this field behave separately in both technical objects?
