Hi all,
since I have not find this information neither surfing the net nor searching the documentation, is it possible to create History Tables in graphical mode or is it only allowed to create them using the console?
Thank you,
Alessio
Hello Alessio,
History Tables can only be created via SQL. There is no graphical option (also not on top of the HDTABLE artifact or CDS which both supports no creation of such tables).

Florian

Hi Alessio
while Florian is right about the lack of support in any of the tools, the more important piece of information is: you really shouldn't use history tables.
If you have the requirement to handle time dependent data, you definitively should model that into your data model explicitly.
From my point of view the approach of history tables had been outlived by reality. Even SAP BW, the only actual SAP product that ever made broad use of them (for in-memory optimised DSO's), eventually moved away from them.
Also, in the last four years this feature had barely seen any development, so I wouldn't bet on its 'future proof-ness' ...
