Filename mask in NFS of Linux

Hi Experts,

In an NFS folder say /test/outbound/ which is on Linux server of PI, there are two sets of files like ABC<<timestamp>>.txt and gABC<<timestamp>>.txt & SAP PI should pick up only gABC<<timestamp>>.txt set of files and ignore ABC<<timestamp>>.txt files.

I tried giving gABC*.txt in Filename of sender channel. But the files are not getting picked up even though the files are placed with <sysID>adm user in to that folder. Kindly help.

Rgds,

Naveen.

Hi Naveen,

  • Is the path right which you mentioned in the channel??
  • You can verify this by login to PI server using putty, go to the directory where you want to pick up the files and run the command pwd then it will display the correct path.

Praveen.

Hi Naveen,

You can use * like placeholder: Defining Placeholders, File Name Masks, and Exclusion Masks - Advanced Adapter Engine - SAP Library

I think the problem  is that you have set a slash (/) at the end of the source directory.

Hello Naveen,

try the "Advanced Selection for Source File".

Does it help?
