How to remove compressed requests from Info Cube.

Hi All,

We have compressed Info Cube which is getting data from two data source (0HR_PA_0 and 0HR_PA_1), we load full load every day from data source (0HR_PA_1) and delta from 0HR_PA_0, we have Delete Overlapping Request from info cube in process chain to delete 0HR_PA_1 data from info cube.

Unfortunately we have compressed this info cube manually without knowingly about Overlapping Request from info cube in process chain, now process chain is not able to delete requests from info cube because of compression. Now are getting double records in the report.

We can’t go for selective deletion for (example Cal year/month) because info cube also data from other data source (0HR_PA_0).

In this scenario what is the best solution to remove compressed requests from Info Cube.

Unfortunately we can't go for selective deletion because this info cube also contain data from other data source .

Is  it possible  to delete data from info cube selectively based on data source ? I am not able to find datasource  filed where we can give datasource name and go for  selective deletion .

Not possible. You DataSource is indirectly availble through the request id in the Package-dimension, but compression is actually about aggregating/Compressing the data across the different request ID's, so this info is gone.

Seems like your only solution will be delete & reload

0hr_pa_1 provides activity type. Try to delete where it is not blank. ( Every char is key in cube ).

0HR_pA_0 should have separate records with only PERNR and CALMONTH even after compression.

0HR_PA_1 should have separate records

If you can post the data ( fake one ) how the data is stored in cube...then it will be easy to do selective deletion.

in case of 0HR_PA_1 datasource " Capacity Utilization level is Blank ".

I hope now I can do selective deletion.

Hi Hari,

Once you compress the data you cannot delete it by request. In this case you must have to go for selective deletion. In your case you can delete the data selectively and do a full load based on selection for data source 0HR_PA_0.
